The club got this email in the box.The idea will sound familiar to anyone who was in El Chorro last year!
Anyone who's interested -both male and female- (Gilmour, you don't like to miss an opportunity to get naked) please let us know!
I am e-mailing to verify your interest in being a part of the Clubs and Societies ‘Naked’ charity calendar. All proceeds from the calendar will go towards PIPS. PIPS are a non-government funded organisation that rely on the generosity of the community and volunteers to enable them to provide help and support for people in crisis. Their main aim is to deliver suicide prevention training that saves lives.
We would therefore appreciate if you could recruit from within your club/society for some willing participants. Preferably the participants would be from a range of year groups as the calendar will go on sale September 2012 therefore we would prefer the majority of students pictured in the calendar to still be at Queens University at this time.
Obviously we are aware that any potential participant might be hesitant in taking part but they should be assured that the pictures will be taken in a very professional manner and the utmost care will be taken to make the participants feel as comfortable as possible. The participants should also be assured that although the calendar has been referred to as a ‘naked’ calendar the modesty of any of the participants will be carefully concealed using some well-placed props. An example can be seen on www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1191616/Boffins-buff-The-Oxford-students-donned-naked-charity-calendar.html
Queens University has granted permission for the calendar to be made and for the photographs to be taken on campus. The calendar is also being made in co-operation with the students union.
